The Project

The Awareness-raising and capacity-building related to the implementation of the Guidelines for the Long-term Sustainability of Outer Space Activities (LTS Guidelines) is a project of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA). The Project aims to showcase how the LTS Guidelines of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) materialize in practice through a multi-stakeholder approach.

Stakeholder Study Report

In the second phase of the Project, UNOOSA conducted a series of interviews with States and intergovernmental organizations focusing on their experiences in implementing the Guidelines. The information gathered in the interviews is found in the present stakeholder study report. The report compiles and shares information on experiences implementing the Guidelines for the Long-term Sustainability of Outer Space Activities, including challenges faced and potential capacity-building needs.
